Head of User Acquisition
Location: Remote | Full-Time

About the Company
Our client is a rapidly growing mobile app portfolio company committed to building products that make users lives smarter and more seamless. With a diverse and expanding portfolio across multiple categories, they are scaling globally to reach millions of users. To support this growth, they are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of User Acquisition to lead performance marketing efforts and build out a high-performing UA function.

About the Role
As the Head of User Acquisition, you will own the growth strategy across all paid acquisition channels and play a critical role in scaling app performance. This position requires a deep understanding of mobile growth, hands-on campaign management, cross-functional collaboration, and leadership capabilities to build and manage a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

Paid UA Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and lead user acquisition strategies across platforms such as Apple Search Ads, Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, and others.

  • Plan, forecast, and optimize UA budgets across multiple products to ensure sustainable and scalable growth.

  • Set and manage performance targets across channels, driving efficiency and scale.

Performance Monitoring & Optimization

  • Oversee the analytics of UA efforts across the full portfolio, leveraging real-time data to make informed decisions.

  • Continuously optimize campaigns to improve CPI, CPA, LTV, ROAS, and other key metrics.

  • Identify and capitalize on new growth opportunities through structured experimentation.

Creative Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal and external creative teams to ideate, test, and iterate on high-performing ad creatives.

  • Define audience segments and messaging frameworks to guide creative development.

  • Drive a culture of rapid creative testing and hypothesis-driven experimentation.

Conversion Funnel Optimization

  • Lead A/B and multivariate testing to improve conversion rates across the acquisition funnel.

  • Collaborate with product, design, and ASO teams to improve app store performance, onboarding flows, and key conversion points.

  • Analyze user behavior to identify and remove friction in the user journey.

Marketing Technology & Reporting

  • Build and maintain robust reporting systems to track performance and generate actionable insights.

  • Work with engineering and data teams to configure and optimize marketing tools (e.g., MMPs, attribution platforms, payment processors).

  • Implement and scale technical integrations to support automation, efficiency, and channel expansion.

  • Evaluate and test new marketing technologies, including AI-powered tools, to gain competitive advantage.

Team Leadership

  • Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing user acquisition team.

  • Conduct regular 1:1s, support team development, and lead hiring efforts.

  • Define team KPIs and align goals with leadership and cross-functional teams.

  • Establish scalable workflows and internal processes to support a growing organization.

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in user acquisition or performance marketing, with a strong focus on mobile apps.

  • At least 2 years in a leadership role, managing UA teams or large-scale cross-functional growth projects.

  • Demonstrated success scaling UA efforts across multiple channels and optimizing funnels using data-driven strategies.

  • Strong analytical skills and fluency in BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI).

  • Deep understanding of mobile ad tech, attribution platforms (Appsflyer, Adjust, Firebase), and technical UA integrations.

  • Proven experience managing KPIs and driving team performance.

  • Solid project management and communication skills.

  • Experience with various app monetization models, including subscriptions, in-app purchases, ad-based, paid apps, and search-based monetization.
